The Problem Space
Current massagers, while effective at relieving muscle tension, often cause strain on the user’s hands during prolonged use and lack convenient storage and charging solutions.

Where lies the major Touch Points
The handle is not very comfortable to hold for long periods of time.
The rigid and boxy nature of the handle's edge leads to contact stress, presenting an ergonomic concern in the massager's design.
The weight of the massager could be distributed more evenly, making it easier to hold and use.

Physical Strain
Massager feels heavy and tough to move due to the weight. The boxy handle edges and texture lead to discomfort and stress. Vibrations cause hand numbness, reducing comfort.

Cognitive Strain
The palm rest in the massager is an unclear functionality. It should ideally be self explanatory, both in purpose & usage. Button placement is difficult for users, especially turning off the product due to its placement between high and low settings.

The massage head may not be large enough to cover a large area.
The vibration intensity could be adjusted in smaller increments, making it easier to find a comfortable setting.
Confusing handle placement makes it hard to use comfortably, needs a better grip design.

Concept Note
Our redesigned massager is an oval shaped model with a hollow space near the handle for easy gripping. The massage head has an angular rotation, which allows it to reach different parts of the body easily, preventing strenuous postures for the users.
The weight of the massager is well balanced, so it does not put a lot of pressure on the hands.
